Lean In Nurses!!
Sheryl Sandberg's "Lean In" is a well-written book that all women should read. I make it a point to suggest and if possible, lend my copy of the book to my family and friends. There are a lot of inspirational books but none have touched me the way "lean in" did.
I have always wanted to start my own blog. If you can imagine that person who spent hours in front of the computer trying to figure out how and what to write in a blog, but never actually got around to do it, that's me. I started 2 blogs, never continued them. I guess I am a perfectionist who is always trying to do everything perfectly but never gets anything done. After that, I fell off the bandwagon of bloggers, had a kid, relocated, husband got a new job, I landed another job, my shift changed from evenings to days,.............the excuses.....Hey...I have my own list of hundred excuses...
All these excuses turned into reasons for starting the blog after I read "Lean In". I realized that these excuses were my fears in black and white. I have to face them, acknowledge them and then do what has to be done. So here I am!! The Sun!!
This blog is about my life. My profession, my passions, my hobbies. About everything under the sun. :-)
Don't worry, this is not my twitter account where I will write " drinking wine now" or "at work" or "playing with my son". Rather this blog will be about my thoughts and experiences. More to come. Meanwhile enjoy the fall... have a cup of tea, love the present and moreover..... Lean In.
